महरिकहतरी लाडली किनमथनसिखायो ॥ कहूमथनीकहुँमाट हैचितकहांलगायो ॥१॥ क्योंमेरेघर आयके तेंसबविसरायो ॥ मथननहीं मोहिआवही तुमसोंहदिवायो ॥२॥ तिहिकारन मैंआयके तुवबोलरखायो ॥ तबनंदघरनीमथिदधि यह भांतबतायो ॥३॥ हँसिबोली तबराधिका कह्यो अबमोहि आयो ॥ सूरनिरखमुखस्यामको तहांध्यानलगायो ॥४॥

महरिकहतरी लाडली किनमथनसिखायो ॥ कहूमथनीकहुँमाट हैचितकहांलगायो ॥१॥
Mother Yashoda says, “My dear girl, who taught you to churn curd? The churning rod is in one place and the pot in another! Where is your mind?” ॥१॥

क्योंमेरेघर आयके तेंसबविसरायो ॥ मथननहीं मोहिआवही तुमसोंहदिवायो ॥२॥
“Why have you forgotten everything after coming to my house?” Radhika replies, “I do not know how to churn. That is why I asked you to teach me.” ॥२॥

तिहिकारन मैंआयके तुवबोलरखायो ॥ तबनंदघरनीमथिदधि यह भांतबतायो ॥३॥
“That is why I came here, as you had told me to.” Then Nandji’s wife churned the curd herself and showed her how to do it. ॥३॥

हँसिबोली तबराधिका कह्यो अबमोहि आयो ॥ सूरनिरखमुखस्यामको तहांध्यानलगायो ॥४॥
Radhika then smiled and said, “Now I have learned.” Surdas says that her attention was fixed entirely on Shyam, as she gazed at His face. ॥४॥

tihikaaran mainaayake tuvabolarakhaayo ||
tabanandagharaneemathidadhi yah bhaantabataayo ||3||

hansibolee tabaraadhikaa kahyo abamohi aayo ||
sooranirakhamukhasyaamako tahaandhyaanalagaayo ||4||
