माई लैंन देहु जो मेरे लालहि भावै । दधि माखन चौगुनो दैहुँगी सुतके लेखें जाकौ जितनौ आवै ॥१॥ पालनें झूलै कुलदेव अराधे जतन जतन करि घुटुरुवन धावै । सरबस ताहि दैहुँगी जो मेरे न्हेनरे गोपालें चलन सिखावै ॥२॥ यह अभिप्राय होत दिन दिन प्रति कब मेरौ मोहन धेंनु चरावै। चतुर्भुजदास गिरिधर पिय यह रस निरखि निरखि उर नैन सिरावै ॥३॥

माई लैन देहु | Mai Lain Dehu

(राग धनाश्री | Raga Dhanashri)

माई लैंन देहु जो मेरे लालहि भावै । दधि माखन चौगुनो दैहुँगी सुतके लेखें जाकौ जितनौ आवै ॥१॥
“O dear mothers, let my darling child take whatever He likes. Whatever curd or butter He takes from anyone, I shall gladly give four times as much in return for my beloved son.” ॥१॥

पालनें झूलै कुलदेव अराधे जतन जतन करि घुटुरुवन धावै । सरबस ताहि दैहुँगी जो मेरे न्हेनरे गोपालें चलन सिखावै ॥२॥
“After worshipping our family deity, I have lovingly cared for Him as He swings in His cradle. With much effort, He now crawls about on His hands and knees. I would gladly give everything I possess to anyone who teaches my little Gopal how to walk.” ॥२॥

यह अभिप्राय होत दिन दिन प्रति कब मेरौ मोहन धेंनु चरावै। चतुर्भुजदास गिरिधर पिय यह रस निरखि निरखि उर नैन सिरावै ॥३॥
“Every day, this longing grows in my heart: When will my beloved Mohan grow old enough to graze the cows?” Chaturbhujdas says that beloved Giridhar, beholding this sweet motherly love again and again, finds deep joy and contentment in His heart and eyes. ॥३॥
