मैया मोहि माखन मिश्री भावे ॥ मीठो दधि मिठाई मधु घृत अपनो करसों क्यों न खवावे ॥१॥ कनक दोहनी दे कर मेरे गौदोहन क्यों न सिखावे ॥ ओट्यो दूध धेनु धोरीको भरके कटोरा क्यों न पिवावे ॥२॥ अजहू व्याह करत नहीं मेरो तोहि नींद क्यों आवे ॥ चतुर्भुज प्रभु गिरिधरकी बतियां सुन ले उछंग पय पान करावे ॥३॥

मैया मोहि माखन | Maiya Mohi Makhan

मैया मोहि माखन मिश्री भावे ॥  
मीठो दधि मिठाई मधु घृत अपनो करसों क्यों न खवावे ॥१॥
Mother, I like butter and mishri. Why do you not feed me with your own hands sweet curd, sweets, honey, and ghee? ॥१॥

कनक दोहनी दे कर मेरे गौदोहन क्यों न सिखावे ॥  
ओट्यो दूध धेनु धोरीको भरके कटोरा क्यों न पिवावे ॥२॥
Why do you not place a golden milking vessel in my hands and teach me how to milk the cows? Why do you not fill a bowl with the freshly boiled milk of the white cow and give it to me to drink? ॥२॥

अजहू व्याह करत नहीं मेरो तोहि नींद क्यों आवे ॥  
चतुर्भुज प्रभु गिरिधरकी बतियां सुन ले उछंग पय पान करावे ॥३॥
You still have not arranged my marriage—how can you sleep? Chaturbhuj says: hearing these words of Lord Giridhar, she takes Him into her lap and gives Him milk to drink. ॥३॥

maiyaa mohi maakhan miShree bhaave ||
meetho dadhi mithaaee madhu ghrit apano karason kyon na khavaave ||1||

kanak dohanee de kar mere gaudohan kyon na sikhaave ||
otyo doodh dhenu dhoreeko bharake katoraa kyon na pivaave ||2||

ajahoo vyaah karat naheen mero tohi neend kyon aave ||
Chaturbhuj prabhu giridharakee batiyaan sun le uchhang pay paan karaave ||3||
