मोर मुकुट कटकाछनी जननी पहरावे ॥ श्याम अंग भूषण सजे बिंदुका जो बनाबे ॥१॥ नूपुर कंकन किंकिनी कर बेन गहावे ॥ मुसकनमें मन हरे वस ताप जनावे ॥२॥ व्रजरानी आई तहां दरपन दरसावे ॥ भोग अरप बीरा दियो सुख सूर बढावे ॥३॥

मोर मुकुट कटकाछनी जननी पहरावे ॥ श्याम अंग भूषण सजे बिंदुका जो बनाबे ॥१॥
Mother dresses Shyam in a peacock-feather crown and beautiful ornaments. She adorns His dark body with jewelry and decorates Him with lovely bindu marks. ॥१॥

नूपुर कंकन किंकिनी कर बेन गहावे ॥ मुसकनमें मन हरे वस ताप जनावे ॥२॥
She puts anklets on His feet, bracelets on His wrists, and tinkling ornaments on Him, and places the flute in His hand. His sweet smile steals the heart and makes the pain of longing arise. ॥२॥

व्रजरानी आई तहां दरपन दरसावे ॥ भोग अरप बीरा दियो सुख सूर बढावे ॥३॥
The Queen of Vraj, Yashoda, comes there and shows Him His reflection in a mirror. She offers Him bhog and betel, and seeing His happiness, Surdas's joy increases. ॥३॥
