मुकुर महलमें मान लिख्यो मोहनीको विनय वचन बोलि सुकुमारीके । कितेक कौतक निहार प्यारी नेन लर स्वेत जरी जोत जानो चित्र चित्रसारी के ॥१ ॥ सरस सुहागनि है सरद सोहाई रितु रसिक बिहारी संग पिय प्यारी के । मानो मदन व्योम चढ़े मान गढ़ लेन अली बान बरखत दीपत दीप यों दिवारीके ॥२ ॥

मुकुर महलमें मान लिख्यो मोहनीको विनय वचन बोलि सुकुमारीके ।
In the mirrored palace, Mohani’s maan is reflected, while gentle words are spoken to comfort Sukumari.

कितेक कौतक निहार प्यारी नेन लर स्वेत जरी जोत जानो चित्र चित्रसारी के ॥१ ॥
Pyari gazes upon the many charming sights; Her beautiful eyes and the gleam of white zari make the decorated chamber appear like a beautiful painting. ॥१॥

सरस सुहागनि है सरद सोहाई रितु रसिक बिहारी संग पिय प्यारी के ।
In the beautiful season of Sharad, Pyari is the blessed beloved, together with Her Piya, Rasik Bihari.

मानो मदन व्योम चढ़े मान गढ़ लेन अली बान बरखत दीपत दीप यों दिवारीके ॥२ ॥
It seems as though Love itself has come to overcome the fortress of maan, while the glowing lamps of Diwali shine beautifully all around. ॥२॥

mukur mahalamen maan likhyo mohaneeko vinay vachan boli sukumaareeke |
kitek kautak nihaar pyaaree nen lar svet jaree jot jaano chitr chitrasaaree ke ||1||

saras suhaagani hai sarad sohaaee ritu rasik bihaaree sang piy pyaaree ke |
maano madan vyom charhe maan garh len alee baan barakhat deepat deep yon divaareeke ||2||
