मुरली हरि तें न छूटतहै ॥ वाहीके वश भये निरंतर वह अधरन रसलूटतहै ॥१॥ तुमतें निठुर भई वह बोलत तन तें मन उचटावतहै ॥ आरज पथ कुल कान मिटावत सबकों निलज करावतहै ॥२॥ निडरी रहत डरत नहीं काहू मुख पायें बहु फूलतहै ॥ अब यह हरितें होत न न्यारी तू काहेकों भूलतहै ॥३॥ रोमरोम नखसिख रस पागी अनुरागिन हरि प्यारी है ॥ सूरश्याम वाके रस लुब्धे जानी सौत हमारी है ॥४॥

मुरली हरि तें न छूटतहै ॥
वाहीके वश भये निरंतर वह अधरन रसलूटतहै ॥१॥
“The Murali never leaves Hari. He remains constantly under her sway, while she continually drinks the rasa of His lips. ॥१॥

तुमतें निठुर भई वह बोलत तन तें मन उचटावतहै ॥
आरज पथ कुल कान मिटावत सबकों निलज करावतहै ॥२॥
She has become cruel toward you; whenever she sounds, she draws the mind away from the body. She makes everyone abandon the noble path and all regard for family honour, leaving them without modesty. ॥२॥

निडरी रहत डरत नहीं काहू मुख पायें बहु फूलतहै ॥
अब यह हरितें होत न न्यारी तू काहेकों भूलतहै ॥३॥
She remains fearless, afraid of no one, and grows exceedingly proud upon reaching His lips. Now she is never separated from Hari—why do you deceive yourself? ॥३॥

रोमरोम नखसिख रस पागी अनुरागिन हरि प्यारी है ॥
सूरश्याम वाके रस लुब्धे जानी सौत हमारी है ॥४॥
Every pore of her, from head to toe, is steeped in rasa; she is deeply in love and dear to Hari. Sur says: Shyam is captivated by her rasa—know that Murali is our rival in love. ॥४॥

muralee hari ten na chhootatahai ||
vaaheeke vash bhaye nirantar vah adharan rasalootatahai ||1||

tumaten nithur bhaee vah bolat tan ten man uchataavatahai ||
aaraj path kul kaan mitaavat sabakon nilaj karaavatahai ||2||

nidaree rahat darat naheen kaahoo mukh paayen bahu phoolatahai ||
ab yah hariten hot na nyaaree too kaahekon bhoolatahai ||3||

romarom nakhasikh ras paagee anuraagin hari pyaaree hai ||
soorashyaam vaake ras lubdhe jaanee saut hamaaree hai ||4||
