फूलनकी माला हाथ फूली सब सखी साथ झमक झरोखा झांके नंदिनी जनककी ॥ देखन पियाकी शोभा सीयाके लोचन लोभा एकटक ठाडी मानो पूतरी कनककी ॥१॥ पितासों कहत बात कमलसो कोमल गात टारोहो प्रतिज्ञा याशिवके धनुषकी ॥ नंददास प्रभु जान्यो तूनकर तोर्यो बान्यो बांसकी धनैया जेसें बालके करकी ॥२॥

फूलनकी माला हाथ फूली सब सखी साथ झमक झरोखा झांके नंदिनी जनककी ॥
With a flower garland in Her hand and all Her sakhis beside Her, Janak’s daughter joyfully peeks through the shining jharokha.

देखन पियाकी शोभा सीयाके लोचन लोभा एकटक ठाडी मानो पूतरी कनककी ॥१॥
Seeing the beauty of Her Piya, Siya’s eyes are captivated; She stands gazing without blinking, like a golden image. ॥१॥

पितासों कहत बात कमलसो कोमल गात टारोहो प्रतिज्ञा याशिवके धनुषकी ॥
She says to Her father, “His body is tender like a lotus; please set aside this vow concerning Shiva’s bow.”

नंददास प्रभु जान्यो तूनकर तोर्यो बान्यो बांसकी धनैया जेसें बालके करकी ॥२॥
Nandadas says: Prabhu understood Her heart; He broke the bow effortlessly, as though it were a little bamboo bow in a child’s hand. ॥२॥

phoolanakee maalaa haath phoolee sab sakhee saath jhamak jharokhaa jhaanke nandinee janakakee ||
dekhan piyaakee shobhaa seeyaake lochan lobhaa ekatak thaadee maano pootaree kanakakee ||1||

pitaason kahat baat kamalaso komal gaat taaroho pratigyaa yaashivake dhanushakee ||
nandadaas prabhu jaanyo toonakar toryo baanyo baansakee dhanaiyaa jesen baalake karakee ||2||
