प्रात समैं गिरिधरनलाल कौ करति प्रबोध जसोदा मैया ॥ जागौ लाल, चिरैया बोलीं, सुंदर मेरे कुँवर कन्हैया ॥१॥ हलधर संग लैहौ मनमोहन, खेलन जाउ ब्रिन्दाबन धाम ॥ ऋतु बसंत प्रफुलित अति देखियत सुंदर हे कालिंदी ठाम ॥२॥ जननि-बचन सुनति मनमोहन, आनँद उर न समाई ॥ 'कृष्णदास' प्रभु बेगि उठे जब, जननि-जसोदा कंठ लगाई ॥३॥

प्रात समैं गिरिधरनलाल कौ करति प्रबोध जसोदा मैया ॥
In the morning, Mother Yashodā awakens Giridhar Lāl.

जागौ लाल, चिरैया बोलीं, सुंदर मेरे कुँवर कन्हैया ॥१॥
Wake up, Lāl; the little birds are singing. My beautiful prince Kanhaiyā, wake up. ॥१ ॥

हलधर संग लैहौ मनमोहन, खेलन जाउ ब्रिन्दाबन धाम ॥
Take Haladhar with You, O Manmohan, and go to play in the holy land of Vṛndāvan.

ऋतु बसंत प्रफुलित अति देखियत सुंदर हे कालिंदी ठाम ॥२॥
It is spring, and everything is greatly blossoming; the beautiful banks of Kālindī look lovely. ॥२ ॥

जननि-बचन सुनति मनमोहन, आनँद उर न समाई ॥
Hearing His mother’s words, Manmohan’s heart is filled with joy beyond measure.

'कृष्णदास' प्रभु बेगि उठे जब, जननि-जसोदा कंठ लगाई ॥३॥
When Prabhu quickly rises, Kṛṣṇadās says, He embraces His mother Yashodā. ॥३ ॥

## Transliteration

praat samain giridharanalaal kau karati prabodh jasodaa maiyaa ||
jaagau laal, chiraiyaa boleen, sundar mere kunvar kanhaiyaa ||1||

haladhar sang laihau manamohan, khelan jaau brindaaban dhaam ||
ritu basant praphulit ati dekhiyat sundar he kaalindee thaam ||2||

janani-bachan sunati manamohan, aanand ur na samaaee ||
'krishnadaas' prabhu begi uthe jab, janani-jasodaa kanth lagaaee ||3||
