प्रथमचलेहरि माखन चोरी ॥ ग्वालिनिमन इच्छापूरणकर आपभजेहरिव्रजकी खोरी ॥१॥ मनमन यहविचारकरत प्रभुव्रजघरघरसबगाऊं ॥ गोकुलजन्मलियो सुखकारण सबकेंमाखन पाऊं ॥२॥ बालरूपयशोमतियोंजाने गोपिन मिलसुखभोग ॥ सूरदास प्रभुकहत प्रेमसों ये मेरे व्रजलोग ॥३॥

प्रथमचलेहरि माखन चोरी ॥ ग्वालिनिमन इच्छापूरणकर आपभजेहरिव्रजकी खोरी ॥१॥
For the first time, Hari sets out to steal butter. To fulfil the wishes of the cowherd women’s hearts, He Himself runs through the lanes of Vraj. ॥१॥

मनमन यहविचारकरत प्रभुव्रजघरघरसबगाऊं ॥ गोकुलजन्मलियो सुखकारण सबकेंमाखन पाऊं ॥२॥
The Lord thinks to Himself, “I shall visit every home in Vraj. I have taken birth in Gokul to bring happiness to everyone, and I shall receive butter from them all.” ॥२॥

बालरूपयशोमतियोंजाने गोपिन मिलसुखभोग ॥ सूरदास प्रभुकहत प्रेमसों ये मेरे व्रजलोग ॥३॥
Yashoda knows Him only in His form as a little child, while He enjoys happiness in the company of the gopis. Surdas says that the Lord lovingly declares, “These are My people of Vraj.” ॥३॥

manaman yahavichaarakarat prabhuvrajagharagharasabagaaoon ||
gokulajanmaliyo sukhakaaran sabakemmaakhan paaoon ||2||

baalaroopayashomatiyonjaane gopin milasukhabhog ||
Soordaas prabhukahat premason ye mere vrajalog ||3||
