पूत महेरको खिरक दोहावत गैया । संध्या समें बांधे फेंटा गरे गुंजमाल पहेरे तनिया ठाडे हें अधपैया ॥१॥ कोंधनि बनि हाथ हंसतातर रूप मोहनी मदन हरैया । रसिक प्रीतमकी बानिक निरखत लीजे रीझ बलैया ॥२॥

पूत महेरको खिरक | Put Maherko Khirak

पूत महेरको खिरक दोहावत गैया । संध्या समें बांधे फेंटा गरे गुंजमाल पहेरे तनिया ठाडे हें अधपैया ॥१॥  
The son of Maher is having the cows milked in the cattle-enclosure. At evening He stands there with a cloth tied around His head, a gunja-garland around His neck, and a light garment upon His body, resting on one foot. ॥१॥

कोंधनि बनि हाथ हंसतातर रूप मोहनी मदन हरैया । रसिक प्रीतमकी बानिक निरखत लीजे रीझ बलैया ॥२॥  
With graceful arms and smiling hands, His enchanting beauty surpasses even Manmatha. Beholding the charming appearance of the rasik Beloved, one is delighted and offers oneself in loving admiration. ॥२॥

## Transliteration

poot maherako khirak dohaavat gaiyaa |
sandhyaa samen baandhe phentaa gare gunjamaal pahere taniyaa thaade hen adhapaiyaa ||1||

kondhani bani haath hansataatar roop mohanee madan haraiyaa |
rasik preetamakee baanik nirakhat leeje reejh balaiyaa ||2||
