रहीरी ग्वालि जोबन मदमाती । मेरे छगन मगन से लालहिं कित लै उछंग लगावति छाती ॥१॥ खीजततें अबही राखे हैं शोभित न्हानी न्हानी दूधकी दाँती । खेलनदै जाहु घर पर अपुने काहेकों एतौ इतराती ॥२॥ उठि चली ग्वालि लाल लागे रौंवन तब जसुमति फेरी बहु भाँती । परमानंद प्रीति अंतर गति फिरि आई नैनन मुसिकाती ॥३॥

रहीरी ग्वालि जोबन मदमाती । मेरे छगन मगन से लालहिं कित लै उछंग लगावति छाती ॥१॥
“Stop there, O young cowherd woman, so full of pride in your youth! Why do you take my darling little boy into your lap and hold Him so close to your heart?” ॥१॥

खीजततें अबही राखे हैं शोभित न्हानी न्हानी दूधकी दाँती । खेलनदै जाहु घर पर अपुने काहेकों एतौ इतराती ॥२॥
“I have only just managed to calm Him after He was upset. His tiny milk teeth are just beginning to shine. Let Him play, and go back to your own home. Why are you behaving so proudly?” ॥२॥

उठि चली ग्वालि लाल लागे रौंवन तब जसुमति फेरी बहु भाँती । परमानंद प्रीति अंतर गति फिरि आई नैनन मुसिकाती ॥३॥
The cowherd woman gets up and begins to leave, but the little boy starts crying. Mother Yashoda then tries in many ways to persuade her to return. Parmanand says that, understanding the love hidden in Yashoda’s heart, the cowherd woman comes back, smiling with her eyes. ॥३॥
