रोहिणी दीपक देहो संजोई ॥ मंदमंदगति चल लेंहो अंचल मांझ अगोई ॥१॥ जबहीं सजाय जात द्वारेलों डारत व्यार बुझाई ॥ नेक नाहिं अनखात इते पर या घर यह बड़ाई ॥२॥ केईवार संजोवन आई तब तुम नाहिन कीनी ॥ औरनको याचन नहीं जेहों यह अकर में लीनी ॥३॥ बारबार आगम गति मनप्रति पवन करीनकवानी ॥ व्रजपति कह्यो ओट मेरी चल अंतर गतिकी जानी ॥४॥

रोहिणी दीपक देहो संजोई ॥ मंदमंदगति चल लेंहो अंचल मांझ अगोई ॥१॥
“Rohini, please light a lamp for me. I shall walk slowly and carefully, keeping it covered with my veil to protect the flame.” ॥१॥

जबहीं सजाय जात द्वारेलों डारत व्यार बुझाई ॥ नेक नाहिं अनखात इते पर या घर यह बड़ाई ॥२॥
“Whenever I light the lamp and reach the doorway, the wind blows it out. Yet I am not even a little upset. Such is the greatness of this house!” ॥२॥

केईवार संजोवन आई तब तुम नाहिन कीनी ॥ औरनको याचन नहीं जेहों यह अकर में लीनी ॥३॥
“I have come to you several times to have my lamp lit, but you have not lit it for me. I shall not ask anyone else. I have firmly decided this.” ॥३॥

बारबार आगम गति मनप्रति पवन करीनकवानी ॥ व्रजपति कह्यो ओट मेरी चल अंतर गतिकी जानी ॥४॥
“The wind keeps troubling me whenever I come and go.” Understanding her hidden wish, Nanda Maharaj says, “Come, walk behind me, where you will be sheltered from the wind.” ॥४॥
