सब दिन होत न एक समान ॥ प्रगटतहै पूरव की करनी तजमन सोच अज्ञान ॥१॥ कबहुँक राजाहरिश्चंद्र गृहसंपति मेरुसमान ॥ कबहुँक दासश्वपच गृह ह्वैके अंबर हरत मसान ॥२॥ कबहुँक युधिष्ठिर राजसिंहासन अनुचर श्रीभगवान ॥ कबहुँक द्रुपद सुता कौरववश केशदुशासन तान ॥३॥ कबहुँक दुलहे बन्योबराती चहुँदिश मंगलगान ॥ कबहुँक आप मृतकह्वै जातहै करलंबे पदपान ॥४॥ कबहुँक रामसहित जानकी विचरत पुष्पविमान ॥ कबहुँक रुदनकरत फिरतहै महावन उद्यान ॥५॥ जननी जठर जन्यो जादिनते लिख्यो लाभ अरु हान ॥ सूरदास यतन सब झूठे बिधिके अंकप्रमान ॥६॥

सब दिन होत | Sab Din Hot

सब दिन होत न एक समान ॥ प्रगटतहै पूरव की करनी तजमन सोच अज्ञान ॥१॥  
Not every day remains the same. The results of past actions come to light; O mind, give up ignorant worry. ॥१॥

कबहुँक राजाहरिश्चंद्र गृहसंपति मेरुसमान ॥ कबहुँक दासश्वपच गृह ह्वैके अंबर हरत मसान ॥२॥  
At one time King Harishchandra possessed wealth as great as Mount Meru; at another, he became the servant of a chandala and took the shroud-cloth at the cremation ground. ॥२॥

कबहुँक युधिष्ठिर राजसिंहासन अनुचर श्रीभगवान ॥ कबहुँक द्रुपद सुता कौरववश केशदुशासन तान ॥३॥  
At one time Yudhishthira sat upon the royal throne, with Shri Bhagavan Himself serving as his companion; at another, Draupadi, the daughter of Drupada, was in the power of the Kauravas while Dushasana pulled her hair. ॥३॥

कबहुँक दुलहे बन्योबराती चहुँदिश मंगलगान ॥ कबहुँक आप मृतकह्वै जातहै करलंबे पदपान ॥४॥  
At one time a person becomes a bridegroom, surrounded by a wedding procession and auspicious songs on every side; at another, that same person is carried away dead, with hands and feet hanging down. ॥४॥

कबहुँक रामसहित जानकी विचरत पुष्पविमान ॥ कबहुँक रुदनकरत फिरतहै महावन उद्यान ॥५॥  
At one time Janaki travels with Rama in the Pushpaka Vimana; at another, Rama wanders through the great forest and groves, weeping as He searches for her. ॥५॥

जननी जठर जन्यो जादिनते लिख्यो लाभ अरु हान ॥ सूरदास यतन सब झूठे बिधिके अंकप्रमान ॥६॥  
From the day one is born from the mother’s womb, gain and loss are already written. Surdas says: all one’s efforts prove futile before what destiny has inscribed. ॥६॥

sab din hot na ek samaan ||
pragatatahai poorav kee karanee tajaman soch agyaan ||1||

kabahunk raajaaharishchandr grihasampati merusamaan ||
kabahunk daasashvapach grih hvaike ambar harat masaan ||2||

kabahunk yudhishthir raajasinhaasan anuchar Shreebhagavaan ||
kabahunk drupad sutaa kauravavash keshadushaasan taan ||3||

kabahunk dulahe banyobaraatee chahundish mangalagaan ||
kabahunk aap mritakahvai jaatahai karalambe padapaan ||4||

kabahunk raamasahit jaanakee vicharat pushpavimaan ||
kabahunk rudanakarat phiratahai mahaavan udyaan ||5||

jananee jathar janyo jaadinate likhyo laabh aru haan ||
Soordaas yatan sab jhoothe bidhike ankapramaan ||6||
