सखीरी मोय बूंद अचानक लागी ॥ सोवत हुती मदन मद माती घन गरज्यो तब जागी ॥१॥ दादुर मोर पपैया बोले कोयल शब्द सुहागी ॥ कुंभनदास लाल गिरिधरसों जाय मिली बडभागी ॥२॥

सखीरी मोय बूंद अचानक लागी ॥ सोवत हुती मदन मद माती घन गरज्यो तब जागी ॥१॥
O sakhi, a raindrop suddenly fell upon me. I had been asleep, absorbed in thoughts of Madan, when the cloud thundered and I awoke. ॥१॥

दादुर मोर पपैया बोले कोयल शब्द सुहागी ॥ कुंभनदास लाल गिरिधरसों जाय मिली बडभागी ॥२॥
The frogs, peacocks, and papiha birds call out, while the cuckoo sings sweetly. Kumbhandas says: blessed indeed is she who went and met Lal Giridhar. ॥२॥

sakheeree moy boond achaanak laagee ||
sovat hutee madan mad maatee ghan garajyo tab jaagee ||1||

daadur mor papaiyaa bole koyal shabd suhaagee ||
kumbhanadaas laal giridharason jaay milee badabhaagee ||2||
