श्रीवृन्दाविपिन सुहावनों रंग छायो आज ॥
झूलत गिरिधरलाल सुरंग हिंडोरना ॥
रंग छायो आज ॥धु०॥
The lovely forest of Vrindavan is filled with festive colour today. Giridhar Lal swings upon the beautiful hindora. Festive colour fills everything today. ॥धु०॥

श्रीयमुना पुलिन सुहावनो ॥रंग॥
प्रफुलित श्याम तमाल ॥सुरंग॥१॥
The bank of Shri Yamunaji is lovely, and the dark tamal trees are in full bloom. ॥१॥

श्याम घटा घन वरखही ॥
बोलत मधुर मराल ॥२॥सुरंग॥
Dark rainclouds pour down heavily, and the swans call out sweetly. ॥२॥

बाजत बीना किन्नरी ॥
गावत मिलि व्रजबाल ॥३॥
The kinnari-vinas are playing, and the maidens of Vraj are singing together. ॥३॥

इत राधे नवनागरी रंग॥
इतही मदनगोपाल ॥सु०॥४॥
Here is Radha, the ever-fresh graceful lady, and here too is Madan Gopal. ॥४॥

कुटिल कच जुकरत पवन ॥रंग॥
पट फहरत उरमाल ॥सु०॥५॥
The wind plays with their curling locks, and their garments and garlands flutter. ॥५॥

होड परस्पर उमगि भरे ॥रंग॥
झोटादेत रसाल ॥सु०॥६॥
Filled with eager joy and friendly rivalry, they give sweet pushes to the swing. ॥६॥

कृष्ण कमल परसत चरन ॥रंग॥
निरख होत निहाल ॥सुरंग॥७॥
Krishna Kamal, touching their feet, becomes delighted on beholding them. ॥७॥
