सुभग सेज शोभित कौशल्या रुचिर रामशिशु गोदलियें ॥ बाललीला गावत हुलरावत पुलकित प्रेम पीयूष पियें ॥१॥ कबहूं पोढ पयपान करावत कबहूं राखत लाय हियें ॥ वारवार विधु वदन बिलोकत लोचन चारु चकोर पियें ॥२॥ शिव विरंचि मुनि सब सिहातहें चितवत अंबुज ओटदियें ॥ तुलसीदास यह सुख रघुपति को पायो औरन काहू बियें ॥३॥

सुभग सेज शोभित कौशल्या रुचिर रामशिशु गोदलियें ॥
बाललीला गावत हुलरावत पुलकित प्रेम पीयूष पियें ॥१॥
Kaushalya looks beautiful upon the lovely bed, with the charming infant Ram in her lap. Singing of His childhood Leelas and lovingly playing with Him, she thrills with joy and drinks the nectar of love. ॥१॥

कबहूं पोढ पयपान करावत कबहूं राखत लाय हियें ॥
वारवार विधु वदन बिलोकत लोचन चारु चकोर पियें ॥२॥
Sometimes she lays Him down and nurses Him; sometimes she holds Him close to her heart. Again and again she gazes upon His moon-like face, while her beautiful chakora-like eyes drink in its beauty. ॥२॥

शिव विरंचि मुनि सब सिहातहें चितवत अंबुज ओटदियें ॥
Shiva, Brahma, and all the munis marvel at her good fortune, gazing upon Him from behind lotuses.

तुलसीदास यह सुख रघुपति को पायो औरन काहू बियें ॥३॥
Tulsidas says: who else has ever received such happiness with Raghupati as Kaushalya has? ॥३॥

subhag sej shobhit kaushalyaa ruchir raamashishu godaliyen ||
baalaleelaa gaavat hularaavat pulakit prem peeyoosh piyen ||1||

kabahoon podh payapaan karaavat kabahoon raakhat laay hiyen ||
vaaravaar vidhu vadan bilokat lochan chaaru chakor piyen ||2||

shiv viranchi muni sab sihaatahen chitavat ambuj otadiyen ||
tulaseedaas yah sukh raghupati ko paayo auran kaahoo biyen ||3||
