सुतके कान छेदत नंदरानी । सूची देखत भाजि चले हरि बहोरि पकरिकें आनी ॥१॥ छेद कर्ण सबहिन पहरायौ मनमें अति हरखानी । हँसि दीनौ तब ब्रजपति प्रभुकी सुनि सुनि तोतारि बानी ॥२॥

सुतके कान छेदत नंदरानी ।
सूची देखत भाजि चले हरि बहोरि पकरिकें आनी ॥१॥
Nandarani has her son's ears pierced. Seeing the needle, Hari ran away, but she caught Him and brought Him back again ॥१॥

छेद कर्ण सबहिन पहरायौ मनमें अति हरखानी ।
हँसि दीनौ तब ब्रजपति प्रभुकी सुनि सुनि तोतारि बानी ॥२॥
After piercing His ears, she had ornaments put on everyone, greatly rejoicing in her heart. Then Brajapati laughed, listening again and again to Prabhu's childish lisping speech ॥२॥

sutake kaan chhedat nandaraanee |
soochee dekhat bhaaji chale hari bahori pakariken aanee ||1||

chhed karn sabahin paharaayau manamen ati harakhaanee |
hansi deenau tab brajapati prabhukee suni suni totaari baanee ||2||
