स्यामसुन नियरें आये मेह ॥ भीजेगी मेरी सुरंग चूनरी ओट पीतांबर देह ॥१॥ दामिनी देख डरपत हों मोहन निकट आपुने लेह ॥ चतुर्भुजदास लाल गिरिधरसों बाढ्यो अधिक सनेह ॥२॥

स्यामसुन नियरें आये मेह ॥ भीजेगी मेरी सुरंग चूनरी ओट पीतांबर देह ॥१॥
Shyam, the rain has come near. My beautifully colored chunari will be drenched; please shelter me with Your Pitambar. ॥१॥

दामिनी देख डरपत हों मोहन निकट आपुने लेह ॥ चतुर्भुजदास लाल गिरिधरसों बाढ्यो अधिक सनेह ॥२॥
Seeing the lightning, I become afraid; Mohan, please keep me close by Your side. Chaturbhujdas says: my affection for Lal Giridhar has grown ever deeper. ॥२॥

bheejegee meree surang choonaree ot peetaambar deh ||1||

daaminee dekh darapat hon mohan nikat aapune leh ||
chaturbhujadaas laal giridharason baadhyo adhik saneh ||2||
