स्यामतन प्रिया भूख न बिराजे। कनक मनिमुकुट कुंडल श्रवन वनमाल अधरमधुरी धरे नाहि छाजे ॥१॥ निरख अब परस्पर रीझे दोऊनार बर गयो तजी विरह रस प्रेम पागे। सूर प्रभु नागरी हसत मनमें रसत बसन मन स्याम के बड़े भागे ॥२॥

स्यामतन प्रिया भूख न बिराजे। कनक मनिमुकुट कुंडल श्रवन वनमाल अधरमधुरी धरे नाहि छाजे ॥१॥
Shyam does not appear fully beautiful without His beloved. Even His golden, jewel-studded crown, earrings, forest garland, and the sweetness of His lips do not shine as they should without her. ॥१॥

निरख अब परस्पर रीझे दोऊनार बर गयो तजी विरह रस प्रेम पागे। सूर प्रभु नागरी हसत मनमें रसत बसन मन स्याम के बड़े भागे ॥२॥
Now, seeing each other, both are delighted. Their separation has ended, and they are immersed in the joy of love. Surdas says: The lovely Radha smiles with happiness, rejoicing as she dwells in Shyam's heart. How blessed is Shyam! ॥२॥

syaamatan priyaa bhookh na biraaje |
kanak manimukut kundal shravan vanamaal adharamadhuree dhare naahi chhaaje ||1||

nirakh ab paraspar reejhe dooonaar bar gayo tajee virah ras prem paage |
soor prabhu naagaree hasat manamen rasat basan man syaam ke bare bhaage ||2||
