ठाडे रहो अंगना हो प्रिय जोंलों नख शिख देह न भीजे ॥ न्हाय क्यों न लेहो लाल आंगन पानी डार देहो वस्त्र ओर पहेरो तब गृह देहरी पाय दीजे ॥१॥ रति के चिन्ह प्रगट देखियत हें ता पाछें तुम सोंह कीजे ॥ धोंधी के प्रभु तुम बहु नायक देह सुधार पाछे मोहि छीजे ॥२॥

ठाडे रहो अंगना हो प्रिय जोंलों नख शिख देह न भीजे ॥ न्हाय क्यों न लेहो लाल आंगन पानी डार देहो वस्त्र ओर पहेरो तब गृह देहरी पाय दीजे ॥१॥
“O Priya, remain there in the courtyard until you have washed from head to toe. Lal, bathe there in the courtyard, pour water over yourself, put on fresh clothes, and only then step across the threshold of the house.” ॥१॥

रति के चिन्ह प्रगट देखियत हें ता पाछें तुम सोंह कीजे ॥ धोंधी के प्रभु तुम बहु नायक देह सुधार पाछे मोहि छीजे ॥२॥
“The signs of where You have been are still clearly visible; first remove them, and only then give me Your assurance. Dhondhi says: Prabhu, You are very clever—first put Your appearance in order, and then come and then come before me.” ॥२॥

thaade raho anganaa ho priy jonlon nakh shikh deh na bheeje ||
nhaay kyon na leho laal aangan paanee daar deho vastr or pahero tab grih deharee paay deeje ||1||

rati ke chinh pragat dekhiyat hen taa paachhen tum sonh keeje ||
dhondhee ke prabhu tum bahu naayak deh sudhaar paachhe mohi chheeje ||2||
