तुमकुंटेरतहैजू कान्ह ॥ गोरीसी भोरीथोरे दिननकी कछुएकवेसउठान ॥१॥ छूटी अलकलालपट ओढेंनागरीचतुरसुजान ॥ कहाकहूंमुखअंबुजशोभा मानों उग्यो भान ॥२॥ बंसीवटकी ओरगईहे रसिकशीरोमणिजान । सूरदासप्रभुमिलवेकों आईभईनईपहेचान ॥३॥

तुमकुंटेरतहैजू कान्ह ॥  
गोरीसी भोरीथोरे दिननकी कछुएकवेसउठान ॥१॥
Kanhji is calling you. She is fair, innocent, and very young, with a somewhat distinctive appearance and dress. ॥१॥

छूटी अलकलालपट ओढेंनागरीचतुरसुजान ॥  
कहाकहूंमुखअंबुजशोभा मानों उग्यो भान ॥२॥
Her curls are loose, and she has draped a red cloth around herself; she is graceful, clever, and discerning. How can I describe the beauty of her lotus-face? It seems as though the sun has risen. ॥२॥

बंसीवटकी ओरगईहे रसिकशीरोमणिजान ।  
सूरदासप्रभुमिलवेकों आईभईनईपहेचान ॥३॥
She has gone toward Bansivat, knowing the foremost of rasikas to be there. Surdas says: she has come to meet the Lord, taking on a new appearance so that she is not recognized. ॥३॥
