उरग लियौ हरिकों लपटाई । गर्व बचन कहि कहि मुख भाखत मोकों नहिं जानत अहिराई ॥१॥ लिये लपेटि चरण तें शिखलों अति यह मोकों करि ढिठाई । चाँपी पूँछ लुकावत अपनी युवतिनको नहिं सकत दिखाई ॥२॥ प्रभु अंतर्यामी सब जानत अब डारों यह सकुच मिटाई । सूरदास प्रभु तनु विस्तार्यो काली बिकल भयौ तब जाई ॥३॥

उरग लियौ हरिकों लपटाई ।
गर्व बचन कहि कहि मुख भाखत मोकों नहिं जानत अहिराई ॥१॥
The serpent wrapped himself around Hari. Speaking proud words again and again, he said with his mouth, “You cowherd boy do not know me” ॥१॥

लिये लपेटि चरण तें शिखलों अति यह मोकों करि ढिठाई ।
चाँपी पूँछ लुकावत अपनी युवतिनको नहिं सकत दिखाई ॥२॥
He coiled around Him from feet to head: “This is great boldness toward me.” Pressing down with his tail, he hid Him and could not show Him to his women ॥२॥

प्रभु अंतर्यामी सब जानत अब डारों यह सकुच मिटाई ।
सूरदास प्रभु तनु विस्तार्यो काली बिकल भयौ तब जाई ॥३॥
Prabhu, the indwelling knower, knew everything: “Now I will cast off this restraint.” Surdas says: Prabhu expanded His body, and then Kaliya became distressed ॥३॥

urag liyau harikon lapataaee |
garv bachan kahi kahi mukh bhaakhat mokon nahin jaanat ahiraaee ||1||

liye lapeti charan ten shikhalon ati yah mokon kari dhithaaee |
chaanpee poonchh lukaavat apnee yuvatinako nahin sakat dikhaaee ||2||

prabhu antaryaamee sab jaanat ab daaron yah sakuch mitaaee |
Soordaas prabhu tanu vistaaryo kaalee bikal bhayau tab jaaee ||3||
