व्यार बडो करि डारेरी सारंग मोकों बाट सम्हारनदेरी ॥ अंचलसों कित दीप दुरावत ढांप पिछोरी तु मोय लेरी ॥१॥ दीपनकी द्युति फीकी लागत तन तेरो उजेरो अंग दीपेरी ॥ गोपीजनसों कृष्णदास कहे मानो पर्व दीवारी तूहेरी ॥२॥

व्यार बडो करि डारेरी सारंग मोकों बाट सम्हारनदेरी ॥ अंचलसों कित दीप दुरावत ढांप पिछोरी तु मोय लेरी ॥१॥
O dear one, the strong wind is troubling me and making it difficult to find my way. Please help me along the path. How many lamps will you keep shielding with the end of your veil? Instead, cover me with your shawl and take me along with you. ॥१॥

दीपनकी द्युति फीकी लागत तन तेरो उजेरो अंग दीपेरी ॥ गोपीजनसों कृष्णदास कहे मानो पर्व दीवारी तूहेरी ॥२॥
The brightness of the lamps seems pale beside the radiance of your beautiful form. Every part of you shines like a glowing lamp. Krishnadas says to the Gopis, “It seems as though you yourselves are the festival of Diwali, so brilliantly do you shine.” ॥२॥
