## English meaning

Yah Murali Mohani

Raga Sarang)

This flute is called the enchanting one. Speaking sweetly through the seven musical notes, it delights all living beings on land and in water. ॥

It enchants both gods and demons, and through its carefully composed melodies brings them under its sway. From one end it gives intoxicating sweetness, while from the other it offers nectar, which it itself tastes and makes others taste. ॥

Through its qualities, all others find happiness, but it only increases our pain of separation. Surdas says that this very act of the flute is greatly pleasing to Shyam. ॥३॥
