यशुमति जबही कह्यो न्हवावनरोय गयेहरि लोटतरी ॥ तेलउबटनोंले आगेंधर लालहीचोटीपोततरी ॥१॥ मैंबलजाऊ इनमोहनकी कितरोवत बिन काजे ॥ पाछे धरराख्योचुरायके उबटनोतेलसमाजे ॥२॥ महरि बहुत बिनती कर राखतमानत नहीं कन्हाई ॥ सूरस्याम अतिहीबिरुझानें सुरमुनि अंतनपाई ॥३॥

यशुमति जबही कहो | Yashumati Jabahi Kaho

यशुमति जबही कह्यो न्हवावनरोय गयेहरि लोटतरी ॥ तेलउबटनोंले आगेंधर लालहीचोटीपोततरी ॥१॥  
As soon as Yashomati said it was time to bathe Him, Hari began to cry and roll about. She placed the oil and ubtan before Him and began smoothing Lal’s little topknot. ॥१॥

मैंबलजाऊ इनमोहनकी कितरोवत बिन काजे ॥ पाछे धरराख्योचुरायके उबटनोतेलसमाजे ॥२॥  
“I am devoted to this Mohan—why is He crying for no reason?” She quietly moved the oil and ubtan away and hid them behind her. ॥२॥

महरि बहुत बिनती कर राखतमानत नहीं कन्हाई ॥ सूरस्याम अतिहीबिरुझानें सुरमुनि अंतनपाई ॥३॥  
Mother tries again and again to persuade Him, but Kanhai will not listen. Sur says: Shyam is so wonderfully contrary in His play that even the gods and sages cannot understand His ways. ॥३॥

maimbalajaaoo inamohanakee kitarovat bin kaaje ||
paachhe dhararaakhyochuraayake ubatanotelasamaaje ||2||

mahari bahut binatee kar raakhatamaanat naheen Kanhaaee ||
soorasyaam atiheebirujhaanen suramuni antanapaaee ||3||
