MEANING
चल बन देख सयानी यमुना तट ठाडो छेल गुमानी ॥ फूले कदंब नाहर पलास द्रुम त्रिविध पवन सुखसानी ॥१॥Come, wise one, let us see the forest. The graceful, proud one stands on the bank of Yamunā. Kadamba, nāhar, and palāś trees are in bloom, and the three kinds of breeze bring great comfort. ॥१ ॥बहुरंग कुसुम पराग बहक रह्यो अलि लपटे गुंजत मृदुबानी ॥ कीर कपोत कोकिला ध्वनि सुन ऋतु वसंत लहेकानी ॥२॥Flowers of many colors spread their pollen, bees cling to them and hum in soft voices. Hearing the sounds of parrots, pigeons, and cuckoos, the spring season seems to glow with joy. ॥२ ॥सुन सखी वचन मिल उठी पिय सों नवनिकुंज की रानी ॥ बीनन चले दोऊ कुसुम कलियन ब्रज कुंजन ऋतुमानी ॥३॥Hearing her sakhi’s words, the Queen of the fresh grove rises to meet her Beloved. The two set out to gather flowers and buds in the groves of Vraj, made beautiful by the spring season. ॥३ ॥
