Meaning
जा दिनते गैया दुहि दीनी ॥ ता दिनते आपको आपही मानहुंचिते ठगोरी लीनी ॥१॥
“From the day I milked the cow for Shyam, I have felt as though He has quietly stolen my heart, leaving me no longer myself.” ॥१॥
सहज स्याम करधरी दोहनी दूध लोभ मिष विनती कीनी ॥ मृदु मुसकाय चितेंकछु बोले ग्वाल निरख प्रेम रस भीनी ॥२॥
“Shyam naturally held the milking vessel in His hand and, on the pretext of wanting milk, made a gentle request. He smiled softly, looked at me, and said a few words. Seeing Him dressed as a cowherd boy, I was filled with loving devotion.” ॥२॥
नित प्रति खिरक सवारे आवत लोकलाज मानों घृतसोपीनी ॥ चतुर्भुज प्रभु गिरिधर मनमोहन दरसन छलबल सुधि बुधि छीनी ॥३॥
“Every morning I come to the cattle enclosure, as though I have offered up all concern for what people might say. Chaturbhuj says that Lord Giridhar, the enchanting Mohan, has captivated my heart through His darshan, taking away all my awareness and understanding.” ॥३॥
