MEANING
आज सखी देख कमलदल नयन ॥ शीश टिपारो जरद सुनेरी बाजत मधुरे बेन ॥१॥O sakhi, today behold His lotus-petal eyes. Upon His head shines a bright yellow-golden tiparo, and His flute sounds sweetly. ॥१॥कतरादोय मध्य चंद्रिका काछ सुनेरी रेन ॥ दादुर मोर पपैया बोले मेरे मन भयो चेन ॥२॥Between the two side ornaments shines the chandrika, and His kachh is adorned with a golden border. Frogs, peacocks, and papiha birds call out, and my heart finds peace. ॥२॥नाचत मोर श्यामके आगें चलत चाल गजगेन ॥ श्रीविट्टल गिरिधर पिय निरखत लज्जित भयोहे मेन ॥३॥Peacocks dance before Shyam, while He walks with the majestic gait of an elephant. Beholding beloved Shri Vitthal Giridhar, even the mind is humbled before His beauty. ॥३॥
