MEANING
अश्विन वदी द्वादशी सुभग दिन श्री लक्ष्मन सुत के - सुत जायो ।हलधर रूप देखी श्री वल्लभ महागुनन अज्ञान गणिक बुलवायो ।।१।।On the auspicious twelfth day of the dark fortnight of Ashvin, a son was born to Shri Lakshmansut. Shri Vallabh beheld Him as the form of Haldhar, endowed with great virtues, and called for the astrologers. ।।१।।लग्न सुधवाए सबही गृह सुन्दर मन ही मन अनही हरख बढायो ।कुल प्रोहित बुलवाए हरख सो मंत्र सब विधि वाँछन पढ़वायो ।।२।।The auspicious birth time was carefully determined, and joy increased within every heart throughout the beautiful household. The family priest was called, and with great happiness all the prescribed mantras and rites were duly recited. ।।२।।जाति कर्म अरु नामकरण करी श्री गोपीनाथ यह नाम धरायो ।देत अशीष विप्र मंत्र न पढ़ी श्री वल्लभ दिनो दान मन भायो ।।३।।The Jatakarma and Namakarana rites were performed, and He was given the name Shri Gopinath. The Brahmins recited mantras and gave their blessings, while Shri Vallabh gave gifts according to His heart’s delight. ।।३।।कियो अजाचक सकल गुनीन को मन वांछित पूरण करवायो ।अति उदार श्री लक्ष्मन नंदन देत दान सब हीन मन भायो ।।४।।He gave so generously to all the worthy people that none remained in need, fulfilling what each one desired. Shri Lakshmannandan, exceedingly generous, gave gifts to everyone according to their heart’s desire. ।।४।।श्री अडेल पुर में अति आनन्द चँहूदिश उमग्यो नाही समायो ।बरस्यो आय चरण अदरी पर अनत ठोर काहू नही पायो ।।५।।In Shri Adel there was immense joy, overflowing in every direction and impossible to contain. All came and gathered at His revered feet, finding no other place they wished to be. ।।५।।घर घर तोरण वन्दन माला जय जय धुनि हरख उपजायो ।रसिकदास अति दीन हीन मति कहा जाने रसना रस गायो ।।६।।Every home was adorned with torans and festive garlands, while cries of “Jaya! Jaya!” awakened great joy. Rasikdas says: I am exceedingly humble and of little understanding—what can I know? My tongue simply sings this rasa. ।।६।।
