भोर भयो जागे जाम लाल हो अब रामकली उदे भयोभान ।। गुन की कली गुन पूरनप्यारी कहा अब होत देव गान ॥१॥

Dawn has come, and Lal has awakened; it is now the time of Ramkali, and the sun has risen. O bud of virtue, beloved full of virtues, why sing to the gods now? ॥१॥

भयो बिभास आभास सब देखियत बलि-बलि जाउं तू सुनि लेरी कान ।। आसा न करि तू अपुने प्रीतम की सोरठ समजि ले मन ही मन आन ॥२ ॥

Daylight has spread, and everything can be seen. I offer myself to you again and again; listen, dear one. Do not keep waiting for your beloved; take this to heart and understand it within yourself. ॥२ ॥

सारंग नाम जाको ताके पास जाय आली सो नट भयो कहा करे अभिमान ।। चितवति चित पूरव मुख बेठी मधुमाध मद भयो तोकूं आन ॥ ३॥।

Go to him whose name is Sarang, dear friend. He has become a dancer; why persist in your pride? You sit gazing eastward, absorbed in thought; spring’s exhilaration has come over you. ॥ ३॥।

ये क्रोध भयो गोरी कोन गुनन ते ए मन कहा करों कहा कहूं आन ।। केदारुन दुःख मिट गयो कान्हर तेरो जीवन प्रान ॥।४॥।

Fair one, what has brought about this anger? O mind, what shall I do, what else shall I say? Your terrible sorrow has passed; Kanha is your very life and breath. ॥।४॥।

रेन बिहायगई प्यारी पिय पास गई मदनमोहन पिय अति ही सुजान।। चलत हिंडोल अंकमाल सोभा बन ठन 'हरिदास' के स्वामी स्यामा कुंज बिहारी ललित चरन चित धरुं ध्यान ॥५॥

The night has passed; the beloved has gone to her dear one, the deeply understanding Madanmohan. The swing sways, and their embrace shines in beauty. Shyama and Kunj Bihari, Haridas’s Lord, are beautifully adorned; I hold their lovely feet in my heart’s meditation. ॥५॥
