MEANING
करतल सोहत बान धन्हैयां ॥खेलत फिरत कनिक आंगनमें पहेरें लाल पन्हैयां ॥१॥A little bow and arrow look beautiful in His hands. He wanders about playing in the golden courtyard, wearing little red shoes. ॥१॥रघुकुल कुमुदचंद चिंतामणि प्रगटि भूतल महीयां ॥दशरथ अरु कोंसल्या आगें बिहरत नेनन छैयां ॥२॥The moon to the lotus-like Raghu lineage, the wish-fulfilling jewel, has appeared upon the earth. Before Dasharath and Kaushalya, He plays within the loving shelter of their eyes. ॥२॥आये दान देन रघुवंशी आनंद सबही कहैयां ॥मानोचार हंस सरवरके बैठे आये देहैयां ॥३॥The four sons of the Raghu lineage have appeared as divine gifts, bringing joy to everyone. They seem like four beautiful swans who have come and settled upon a lake. ॥३॥यहसुख तीन लोकमें नाहीं सोपायो हे यहीयां ॥This happiness is found nowhere in the three worlds; it has been attained here alone.सूरदास प्रभुबोल भगत कूं निरबाहत हैं बहीयां ॥४॥Surdas says: Prabhu has given His word to His devotees and always upholds it. ॥४॥
