MEANING
कृष्ण एकादशी अरु गुरुवार ॥ श्रीवल्लभ प्रभु प्रकट भये ॥ भक्त जननके मनोरथ साधे ॥ देखत तनके ताप गये ॥ ढाल ॥On Krishna Ekadashi, which was also a Thursday, Shri Vallabh Prabhu appeared. He fulfilled the wishes of the devotees; merely on seeing Him, their bodily afflictions departed. ॥ ढाल ॥गये त्रिविध ताप भये सब भक्त जगत शिरोमणी ॥ श्रीनाथजीकी कृपा दृष्टितें प्रगट भये श्रीवल्लभ मणी ॥ कलिके जीव उद्धारन कारन चिंता धरी भूतल आय कें ॥ कृष्णदासके प्रभु प्रगट भये कृपावलोकन पायकें ॥१॥The threefold afflictions departed, and all the devotees became foremost in the world. By Shrinathji’s gracious glance, the jewel Shri Vallabh appeared. Out of concern to uplift the souls of Kali-yuga, He came to this earth. Krishnadas’s Prabhu appeared, having received that gracious glance. ॥१॥लग्न महूरत माधोमासे ॥ शुभदिन सत श्रीवल्लभ प्रकाशे ॥ पुरुषोत्तम अवतार मनोहर ॥ उदयो कोटि किरनले दिवाकर ॥ ढाल ॥At the auspicious lagna and moment in the month of Madhav, on that truly auspicious day Shri Vallabh manifested. The beautiful incarnation of Purushottam arose like the sun bearing millions of rays. ॥ ढाल ॥कोटि आए भानु अलौकिक शोभा कही न परे रावरे ॥ सनकादिक शुक शिव शेष नारद शारद वरन भये बावरे ॥ निगम आगम कोऊ पार न पावे नेति नेति कही गावहीं ॥ कृष्णदासके प्रभु प्रकट भये जाकुं मुनीश्वर ध्यावहीं ॥२॥Even if millions of suns appeared, Your divine beauty could not be described. Sanaka and the others, Shuka, Shiva, Shesha, Narada, and Sharada become overwhelmed while describing it. Neither Nigama nor Agama can reach its limit; they sing, saying, “Not this, not this.” Krishnadas’s Prabhu appeared—the One upon whom the great sages meditate. ॥२॥श्रीवल्लभ नाम लेत हें जेजन ॥ पावन होतहें दैवीनके मन ॥ प्रकट भये भूतलपर श्रीवल्लभ ॥ खंडन कियो मायामत सुल्लभ ॥ ढाल ॥Those who take the name of Shri Vallabh—the minds of the divine souls become purified. Shri Vallabh appeared upon the earth and readily refuted the doctrine of Maya. ॥ ढाल ॥कीयो खंडन सबही सुलभकर दैवीनके कारज सरे ॥ तैलंगकुल दीपक बिराजत त्रिभुवनमणि दिवाकरे ॥ शोभा शिरोमणि प्रकट पुरुष प्रमाण भूतल आवीया ॥ कृष्णदासके प्रभु आयप्रगटे व्रजसुंदरी मन भावीया ॥३॥He refuted it and made everything accessible, and the purposes of the divine souls were fulfilled. The lamp of the Tailang lineage shines as the sun-like jewel of the three worlds. The crown-jewel of beauty, the manifest Purushottam Himself, came upon the earth. Krishnadas’s Prabhu came and appeared, delighting the hearts of the beautiful women of Vraj. ॥३॥भूतल वल्लभ प्रगटे महाराज ॥ शिवविरंचि वंदित चरन रज ॥ पार न पावत करत वेदधुनि ॥ यशगावत त्रिभुवनमें महामुनि ॥ ढाल ॥Maharaj Vallabh appeared upon the earth; Reverently honored by Shiva and Brahma. The Vedas resound yet cannot reach His limit, while the great sages sing His glory throughout the three worlds. ॥ ढाल ॥मुनीराज गावत यश अनूपम रूप बरनत न आवहीं ॥ जेही नेति कही निरंतर गावत ध्यान कबहुंक पावहीं ॥ पाणि जोरत देव मुनिजन तिहुँलोक दुंदुभी बाजहीं ॥ कृष्णदासके प्रभु आय प्रगटे दैवी जीवन शिर गाजहीं ॥४॥The foremost sages sing His incomparable glory, yet they cannot describe His form. Continually singing of Him as “not this, not this,” they sometimes attain Him in meditation. The gods and sages stand with folded hands, and celestial drums resound throughout the three worlds. Krishnadas’s Prabhu came and appeared, shining above the heads of the divine souls. ॥४॥
