MEANING
माधवमासे भर वैशाखे ॥ श्रीवल्लभ हरि जन्मलिया ॥ श्रीलक्ष्मण नंदना त्रिभुवन वंदना ॥ भक्तिमार्ग जिन प्रकटकिया ॥टेक ॥In the month of Madhava, in the full season of Vaishakh, Shri Vallabh Hari took birth; the son of Shri Lakshman, revered by the three worlds, who manifested the path of bhakti. ॥टेक ॥प्रकटिया जिन भक्तिमारग बंध जीव छुटाईया ॥ संसारतेंते मुक्तिकीने शरण जेजन आईया ॥ अभय दान निसानमेल्या चितजिन हरिकोंदिया ॥ गोपालदास अनंतलीला प्रकट श्रीवल्लभ भया ॥१ ॥He manifested the path of bhakti and freed bound souls; those who came into His refuge, He liberated from worldly existence. He bestowed the gift and mark of fearlessness upon those who gave their hearts to Hari. Gopaldas says: Shri Vallabh, of infinite lila, became manifest. ॥१ ॥दाता भुक्ता और न दूजा ॥ साचा त्रिभुवन राय वहां ॥ विरह निवारणा भवजल तारणा ॥ देखत उपजे चाव उहां ॥टेक ॥There is no other giver and enjoyer; He alone is the true Lord of the three worlds. He removes separation and carries one across the ocean of worldly existence; upon seeing Him, delight arises. ॥टेक ॥देखत हरिकों चाव उपजे सकलदुःख निवारही ॥ जाकोनाम सुमरेंजरें पातक करजोर निगम पुकारही ॥ पतित पावन बिरदजाको शीसमाधो करमया ॥ गोपालदास अनंतलीला प्रकट श्रीवल्लभ भया ॥२ ॥On seeing Hari, delight arises and all sorrow is removed. By remembering His name, sins are burnt away; with folded hands the Vedas proclaim this. His very nature is to purify the fallen; Madhav has placed His hand upon their heads. Gopaldas says: Shri Vallabh, of infinite lila, became manifest. ॥२ ॥ये व्रजबालिया गोपगुवालिया ॥ ये गोकुलके लोगवहां ॥ एकन क्रीडा हरिमुखब्रीडा हरिसेवारस भोग वहां ॥टेक ॥These are the children of Vraj, the gopas and cowherds; these are the people of Gokul. There are His sports, the bashfulness before Hari’s face, and there the enjoyment of the rasa of Hari’s seva. ॥टेक ॥रसभोग ओर संयोग मिलियो हियें अंतर रमरह्या ॥ तुब बालचरित्र अनंतलीला दान दे सब गुण कह्या ॥ तेरी भली मुरति देख सूरत राधिका अंचल गह्या ॥ गोपालदास अनंतलीला प्रकट श्रीवल्लभ भया ॥३ ॥The enjoyment of rasa and union was attained, and He remained delighting within the heart. Then, giving the gift of His childhood deeds and infinite lila, He revealed all His virtues. Seeing Your beautiful form, Radhika held the edge of Her garment. Gopaldas says: Shri Vallabh, of infinite lila, became manifest. ॥३ ॥पूरणब्रह्म सनातन माधो ॥ कलि केशव अवतार वहां ॥ जिन जेसा देख्या तिनतेसा पेख्या ॥ भक्तन प्राणआधार वहां ॥टेक ॥He is the complete Brahman, the eternal Madhav; in Kali-yuga, there is the avatara of Keshav. As each one beheld Him, so did He appear to that person; there He is the very support of the devotees’ lives. ॥टेक ॥भक्तन प्राण आधार श्रीवल्लभ हिये अंतर राखिया ॥ रामकृष्ण मुकुंदमाधो सदाजिह्वा भाखिया ॥ गोपीनाथ अनाथ बंधू वेदमें करुणामया ॥ गोपालदास अनंत लीला प्रकट श्रीवल्लभ भया ॥४ ॥The devotees kept Shri Vallabh, the support of their very lives, within their hearts. Their tongues ever uttered Ram, Krishna, Mukund and Madhav. Gopinath, friend of the helpless, is proclaimed in the Vedas as full of compassion. Gopaldas says: Shri Vallabh, of infinite lila, became manifest. ॥४ ॥
