MEANING
नाचत गावत ढाढिनके | Nachat Gavat Dhadhinakeनाचत गावत ढाढ़ीनके संग ढाढ़ी हुरक बजावै हो ।सात साखि वृषभानूकी नंदराय माथो नावै हो ॥१॥Dancing and singing among the bards, a bard plays the hurak drum. Hearing the seven generations of Vrishabhanu’s lineage proclaimed, Nandarai bows his head. ॥१॥गोपिन लै संग मेहेरि यशोदा आपुन मंगल गावै ।ब्रजवासी उपनंद मिले सब घर घर बात लुटावै ॥२॥Taking the Gopis with her, Lady Yashoda herself sings auspicious songs. The people of Vraj and Upananda gather together, while the joyful news is spread from house to house. ॥२॥वरसाने में घर घर कौतिक मोतिन चौक पुरावै ।ह्वै है सब मेरे मन भायौ कुलदेवता मनावै ॥३॥In Barsana there is festivity in every home, and ceremonial chaukas are filled with pearls. “Everything has happened just as my heart desired,” they say, as they worship the family deity. ॥३॥मनि मुक्ता रतनन भरि थारन ढाढ़ी गोद भरावै ॥झगा पगा उपरना टोडर ढाढ़ीकूँ पहिरावै ॥४॥They fill the bard’s lap from platters laden with gems, pearls, and jewels. They dress the bard with a jhaga, turban, upper cloth, and jeweled necklace. ॥४॥देत असीस हाथ ऊँचे करि ज्यों सबहिन मन भावै ।सुता तिहारी पूत नंदको विधिना बात बनावै ॥५॥Raising his hands, the bard gives the blessing that delights everyone’s heart: “May destiny bring about the union of your daughter and Nanda’s son.” ॥५॥ऐसी सुनियत सब काहूकें जाये याचक आवै ।यह कन्या कुल मंडन व्यास वचन मोहि भावै ॥६॥Hearing such news, petitioners come to everyone’s home. Vyas says, “This daughter is the ornament of the lineage; these words delight my heart.” ॥६॥
