नंददेत बहु दीपदान ॥ खिरिक खोरि व्रज गोपुर गृहगृह मालाकार करत निरमान ॥१॥
Nanda Baba is offering many lamps in devotion. Throughout Vraj, in the cowsheds, lanes, gateways and every home, beautiful rows and garlands of lamps are being arranged. ॥१॥
कार्तिक मास कुहूं रजनी मुखदीप्ति दिव्य रवि कोटि समान ॥ अतुलित छबि लख व्रजकी वनिता उमगउमग उरकरतहें गान ॥२॥
On this dark night in the month of Kartik, the divine radiance of His face shines like millions of suns. Beholding His incomparable beauty, the women of Vraj are filled with overflowing joy and sing with great delight. ॥२॥
