MEANING
परमेश्वरी देवमुनि वंदत पावन देवी गंगे ॥ पावन चरण कमल नखरंजित सीतलबाहु तरंगे ॥१ ॥O Divine Goddess Ganga, supremely sacred, worshipped by devas and sages. Your cool-flowing waves are sanctified and radiant from the nails of the lotus feet. ॥१ ॥मज्जनपान करत जे प्राणी त्रिविध ताप दुःख भंगे ॥ तीरथ राजप्रयाग प्रगटभयो जब यमुना वेणी संगे ॥२ ॥For those who bathe in and drink your waters, the suffering of the threefold afflictions is destroyed. When you unite with Yamuna at the confluence, Tirtharaj Prayag becomes manifest. ॥२ ॥भगीरथकुल सगरोत्तारण वालमीक यशगायो ॥ तुवप्रतरपहरि भक्ति प्रेमरस जन परमानंद पायो ॥३ ॥You delivered the lineage of Bhagirath and the sons of Sagar, and Valmiki sang your glory. By your grace, removing sin, Parmanand attained the loving rasa of bhakti. ॥३ ॥
