MEANING
तोलों हो वैकुंठ न जेहों ॥ सुन प्रल्हाद प्रतिज्ञा मेरी जोलों तो शिरछत्र न देहों ॥१॥“Until then, I will not go to Vaikunth. Listen, Prahlad, this is My vow: until I place the royal canopy over your head, I will not depart.” ॥१॥मनकर्म वचन मानजिय अपने जहीं जहीं जाने तहिंतहिं लेहों ॥ निगुण सगुण हेर सबदेखे तोसो भक्तमें कबहु न पेहों ॥२॥“In mind, action, and speech I have accepted you as My own; wherever you go, I shall be with you there. I have looked among all, both nirgun and sagun, yet I have never found a devotee like you.” ॥२॥मो देखत मेरोदास दुखित भयो यह कलंक अबही जुचुकेहों ॥ हृदय कठिन पाषाण है मेरो अबही दीनदयाल कहेहों ॥३॥“Before My very eyes, My das has suffered; I shall remove this stain at once. If My heart were hard as stone, how could I still be called Din Dayal?” ॥३॥गहि तन हिरण्यकशिपुकों चीरूं उदर फार नख रुधिर वहेहों ॥ यह सुन वात तात अब सूरज यह कृतको फल तुरत चखेहों ॥४॥“I shall seize Hiranyakashipu’s body and tear him apart; I shall rend his belly with My nails and make his blood flow.” Hearing these words, Sur says, “Now, father, you will at once taste the fruit of your deeds.” ॥४॥
