MEANING
तुम देखो सखीरी आज नयन भर हरिजूके रथ की शोभा ॥ योग यज्ञ जप तप तीरथ व्रत कीजियतहे जिंहि लोभा ॥१॥O sakhi, today behold to your heart’s content the beauty of Hariji’s chariot—the very sight for which people undertake yoga, yajna, japa, tapa, pilgrimages, and vows. ॥१॥चारुचक्रमणि खचित मनोहर चंचल चमर पताका ॥ श्वेत छत्र जनुशशि प्राचीदिश उदितभयो निशि राका ॥२॥Its beautiful wheels are adorned with jewels; graceful chamaras and banners wave upon it. The white royal canopy appears like the full moon rising in the eastern sky on a moonlit night. ॥२॥श्यामशरीर सुदेश पीतपट शीश मुकुट ओर माला ॥ मानोदामिनी घन रवि तारा गण उदित एकही काला ॥३॥His dark form shines beautifully in yellow garments, with a crown upon His head and a garland adorning Him. It is as though lightning, a raincloud, the sun, and a host of stars had all appeared together at once. ॥३॥उपजत छबि कर अधर शंखध्वनि सुनीयत शब्द प्रशंसा ॥ मानहुं अरुण कमल मण्डल में कूजतहें कलहंसा ॥४॥A wondrous beauty arises as the conch is held to His lips and its sound is heard amid words of praise. It is as though graceful swans were calling within a cluster of red lotuses. ॥४॥आनंदित पितृभ्रात जननी सब कृष्ण मिलन जीय भावे ॥ सूरदास गोकुलके बासी प्राणनाथ वरपावे ॥५॥Father, brother, and mother are all filled with joy, their hearts longing to meet Krishna. Surdas says: the people of Gokul have attained Prannath as their supreme blessing. ॥५॥
