MEANING
आज रावल में बजत बधाई ।ढोल भेरि सहनाई शंख ध्वनि बाजत देत सुहाई ॥१॥Today congratulations resound in Raval; drums, bheris, shehnais, and the sound of conches play beautifully ॥१॥वह देखो वृषभान भवनमें विमल ध्वजा फहराई ।दूब लै द्विज आये तुरतही कीरत कन्या जाई ॥२॥Look there, a pure flag waves at Vrishabhan's house. Brahmins came at once carrying sacred grass, for Kirti has given birth to a daughter ॥२॥नंद यशोदा तन मन फूले आनंद उर न समाई ।मंगल साज लिये ब्रज बनिता गावत गीत सुहाई ॥३॥Nanda and Yashoda blossom in body and mind; joy cannot be contained in their hearts. The women of Vraj bring auspicious articles and sing beautiful songs ॥३॥चोवा चंदन अगर कुमकुमा भादों कीच मचाई ।व्यासदास कुँवरि मुख निरखत कुसुमावलि बरखाई ॥४॥Chova, sandalwood, agar, and kumkum have made Bhadon festive and muddy with celebration. Vyasdas says: seeing the princess's face, showers of flowers were rained down ॥४॥
