जनम बधाई कुँवरि ललीकी ।प्रगटी प्रभा अद्भुत सुगंधनी हरि अलि कंजकलीकी ॥१॥Joyous congratulations on the birth of the young Lali! A wondrous, fragrant radiance has appeared—a lotus bud, with Hari as its bee. ॥१॥सुमुख समूह सिहात सुनतही यह बिधि बात भलीकी ।कीरति रानीकी कल कीरति गावत सुफल फलीकी ॥२॥The gathering of beautiful-faced women rejoices as soon as they hear this blessed news. They sing the sweet praises of Queen Kirti, whose good fortune has borne its perfect fruit. ॥२॥बिनु बछरन गैया खेलत शुभ सगुन दशा कुशलीकी ।बलिकौ चार सार सोई सजनी दानव दलन दलीकी ॥३॥The cows frolic even without their calves—a blessed omen of well-being. Friend, that alone is the essence of all offerings: the one who crushes the hosts of demons. ॥३॥रोपत बंदनवार द्वार वर रूपी अवल कदलीकी ।रोपति सींक सुवासिन साथिये सिखवनहीं सुनत अलीकी ॥४॥At the splendid gateways they set up auspicious festoons and rows of beautiful plantain trees. The married women draw sathiya designs with slender sticks, listening to the instructions of their sakhis. ॥४॥अगनित सुत अवतार निवारौ को भयौ प्रणत पलीकी ।महामोद मूरतिकौ उद्भव लाल अनुज मुशलीकी ॥५॥Countless sons and incarnations aside—who has ever become such a protector of those who seek refuge? She is the manifestation of the very form of supreme joy, the younger sister of the wielder of the musala. ॥५॥भायौ भयौ नंदयशोदाकौ प्रथमही बात चलीकी ।भायौ भयौ वृषभानगोपको बचन सहित दृढ़ लीकी ॥६॥The matter was pleasing to Nanda and Yashoda from the very beginning, when it was first discussed. It was also pleasing to Gopa Vrishabhana, and the agreement was firmly sealed by their word. ॥६॥कनक थार भरि रतनबारनें आवनि गलीगलीकी ।रावल रावरि कुसुमन झरझरें अरु भरि डलाडलीकी ॥७॥Golden trays filled with jewels are being offered as the people come through every lane. In Raval, flowers shower down in streams, with basket after basket filled to overflowing. ॥७॥नाचत गोपी गोप ओपसों और निशान धुलीकी ।यह भयौ दान अमान मानदै और मर्याद मलीकी ॥८॥Gopis and Gopas dance in splendour, while drums resound amid clouds of dust. Such giving now takes place that all measure is surpassed, honouring everyone and overflowing all customary bounds. ॥८॥राधानाम कहत ऋषिवर पढ़ि यह थिर निगम थलीकी ।दधिकादौ भादों झर लायौ आठें पंथ पथलीकी ॥९॥The venerable sage, having consulted the Vedas, pronounces the name “Radha,” firmly established in the sacred tradition. On the eighth of Bhadon, streams of curd and other auspicious substances flow along every path and roadway. ॥९॥बेगि बधैया गयौ महावन बिदा भई महलीकी ।हरि देत अघेहैं नाँही अब चढ़ि बनी बलीकी ॥१०॥Swiftly the joyous news was carried to Mahavan, after leave was taken from the palace. Hari can never be satisfied with giving; now the celebration has risen to its fullness. ॥१०॥
