Meaning
अहो बल जिय अधिक डरात ॥ गोधन किन ले आवो अबे कित पारतहो रात ॥१॥
“O Balram, my heart is filled with worry! Why have you not brought the cows home yet? Why are you staying out so late into the night?” ॥१॥
एकहि थारमें जेंवत दोऊ यशुमति करत वियार ॥ सुंदरस्याम देत हुंकारी जननी प्रीत विचार ॥२॥
Both brothers eat together from the same plate while Mother Yashoda lovingly serves them their meal. Beautiful Shyam responds to His mother with little sounds of agreement, listening to her affectionate words and concern. ॥२॥
बालक कान्ह निपट भोरेहैं सिखवत रही हो बात ॥ तुम अग्रज वसुदेवके नंदन जानतहो सब घात ॥३॥
“Kanhaiya is still a very young and innocent child, so you must keep guiding Him. You are His elder brother, a son of Vasudev, and you understand all the ways of the world.” ॥३॥
