MEANING
अरी सखी सांमरी हो, अकेली यह वन कहां ते आई ॥तरुन तरुन तेरो तन प्यारी श्री राधे के मन भाई ॥१॥“O dark-complexioned sakhi, from where have You come alone into this forest? Your tender youthful form, Pyari, has delighted Shri Radha’s heart.” ॥१॥नंदगाव की सांमरी हो स्यामा मेरो नाम ॥सांझी फूल कुशल सुन राधे दर्शन ही को काम ॥२॥“I am the dark-complexioned one from Nandagaon; Shyama is My name. I am skilled in gathering flowers for Sanjhi—listen, Radhe, My true purpose is only to have Your darshan.” ॥२॥जब ललिता जु भुज भर अपुने श्रीराधासों भेटाई ॥नये नेह सों मिलत परस्पर बरसाने ले आई ॥३॥Then Lalitaji took Her into her arms and brought Her together with Shri Radha. Meeting one another with ever-new affection, they brought Her to Barsana. ॥३॥कीरतजु आदर कर लीनी सोय रहो तुम यहांई ॥स्यामा भामा सबे मिलके फूलन डलियां लाई ॥४॥Kirtiju received Her with honour and said, “Stay here with us.” Shyama, Bhama, and all the others together brought baskets of flowers. ॥४॥सांझी भरत धरत बोहों मेवा बीरा विधिसों खवाई ॥पुरुषोत्तम सखी तन मन वारत सुख लुटत सुखदाई ॥५॥They fill and arrange the Sanjhi, offering abundant fruits and ceremonially serving bira. Purushottam says: the sakhis offer body and mind in devotion, delighting in the joy bestowed by this blissful occasion. ॥५॥
