MEANING
बीरी सुबल श्याम कों देत ॥ श्याम सखा ग्वालन को बांटत उपजावत अति हेत ॥१॥Subal gives biri to Shyam, and Shyam distributes it among His cowherd friends, increasing their affection greatly. ॥१॥बरखा बरखत तें सब बिडरी गायन की सुध काहे न लेत? चतुर्भुज प्रभु गिरिधरन बजाई मुरली करन सुचेत ॥२॥As the rain falls, the cows have scattered—why do you not attend to them? Chaturbhuj says: Prabhu Giridhar plays the flute, making them all alert. ॥२॥
