MEANING
ए दोऊ एक रंग रंग गहरे रंग मजीठ । हौं वाके मन वे मेरे मन बस रहे आली री कहां करेगो बसीठ ॥१॥ We are both dyed in the same deep colour, like madder-red. I live in His heart, and He lives in mine, O sakhi—what need is there for a messenger between us? ॥१॥पीत दुमालो लाल सिर सोहे तासो मेरो मन मोह्यो अद्भुत छबि देखि सिला भई लीठ। 'ब्रजाधीश' प्रभु संग लाज गई मेरी मुसक ठगोरी लागी ताते बावरी डोले वे तो लंगर दीठ ॥२॥ The yellow dumālo shines beautifully on Lal’s head, and it has captivated my heart. Seeing His wondrous beauty, I became still like stone. Brajadhish says: before Prabhu, my shyness has gone; His enchanting smile has left me wandering as if bewildered, while He looks on with a playful, bold glance. ॥२॥
