MEANING
गोवर्द्धन पूजन चलेरी गोपाल ॥मत्त गयंद देख जिय लज्जित निरख मंदगति चाल ॥१॥Gopal sets out to worship Govardhan. Seeing His gentle, majestic gait, even an intoxicated elephant would feel humbled. ॥१॥व्रजनारिन पकवान बहुत कर भर भर लीने थाल ॥अंग सुगंध पहर पट भूषण गावत गीत रसाल ॥२॥The women of Vraj prepare many delicacies and carry trays filled to the brim. Fragrant and beautifully dressed in garments and ornaments, they sing delightful songs. ॥२॥बाजे अनेक वेणुरवसों मिल चलत विविध सुरताल ॥ध्वजा पताका छत्र चमर धर करत कुलाहल ग्वाल ॥३॥Many instruments resound together with the sound of the venu, filling the procession with varied melodies and rhythms. The Gopas carry flags, banners, parasols, and chamars, rejoicing with joyful calls. ॥३॥बालक वृंद चहूँदिश सोहत मानों कमल अलि माल ॥कुंभनदास प्रभु त्रिभुवन मोहन गोवर्द्धनधर लाल ॥४॥Groups of children shine beautifully on every side, like garlands of bees around a lotus. Kumbhandas says: Prabhu Govardhandhar Lala enchants all the three worlds. ॥४॥
