MEANING
हमारो देव गोवर्धन रानो ॥जाकी छत्र छांह हम बैठे ताकों त्यज ओरे क्यों मानों ॥१॥Our Deva is King Govardhan. We live beneath His sheltering shade; why should we leave Him and honour another? ॥१॥नीको तृण सुंदर जल नीको नीको गोधन रहेत अघानों ॥नीको सब व्रजहोत सुखारो सुरपति कोप कहा पहेचानों ॥२॥The grass is good, the water is beautiful, and the herds of cows graze to their full satisfaction. All of Vraj lives happily—why should we be concerned about Surapati’s anger? ॥२॥खीर खांड घृत भोजन मेवा ओदन सकल अनूपम आनों ॥Bring kheer, sugar, ghee, prepared foods, dried fruits, rice, and every kind of incomparable offering.परमानंद गोवर्द्धन उत्सव अन्नकूट अलौकिक जानों ॥३॥Paramanand says: know this festival of Govardhan, this Annakut, to be truly extraordinary. ॥३॥
