MEANING
कबही कहेति प्यारी अजहू न रिसगई मोहनी मौनधर कहत कछूनरी ॥ कान न कछू करत सन्मुखही लरत ज्योंज्यों वरजी त्योंत्यों भई अति दूनरी ॥१॥At times they say to Pyari, “Has your displeasure still not passed?” But Mohini remains silent and says nothing. She pays no heed and continues her spirited exchange face to face; the more they try to restrain her, the more her resolve increases. ॥१॥बावरी भईरी प्यारी मेरे जानें पिय कह्यो कहा काहूको न कह्यो मानें तुव हृदो सुनरी ॥ गोविन्द प्रभु पिय चरण परस आंको भर मिलरंग रह्यो जेसें हरद चूनरी ॥२॥“O Pyari, you have become quite beside yourself; as I see it, you heed neither what Piya says nor what anyone else says. O beautiful one, listen to your own heart.” Govind says: at Prabhu Piya’s gracious contact, all distance disappears, and their affection blends as completely as turmeric color into a chunari. ॥२॥
