कितहोत अयानीरी काहूके कहें सुनें पियके औगुण मन मांझ धरत ॥ वेतो गुण पूरण सबहीके हितकारी तोसों तो अधिक प्रीति टारी न टरत ॥१॥Why do you become so innocent-hearted, listening to what others say and keeping supposed faults of Piya in your heart? He is full of virtues and wishes well for everyone; and toward you, His love is even greater and cannot be turned away. ॥१॥जेती बातें कही तेती सबही उराहनेकी अपनेरी जीयमें विचार धरत ॥ रसिक प्रीतमसों एसो कहा अनरस हिलमिल रहीयें नीकें काहेकों लरत ॥२॥Whatever has been said has only been in the way of complaint; consider it carefully within your own heart. Why keep such displeasure toward the rasika Pritam? It is far better to remain together in harmony—why quarrel? ॥२॥
