MEANING
कदमके वृक्ष नीचे हिंडोरा ॥ माई आजतो हिंडोरे झूलें छैयांकदमकी ॥ गोपी सब ठाडी मानों चित्रके सदनकी ॥१॥Under the kadamba tree is a swing. O Mother, today we swing upon the swing in the shade of the kadamba tree. All the gopīs stand as though they were paintings in a palace. ॥१॥देखतरंगीले नयन बोलत मधुरे बेन मोहे सब कोटिकाम छबीले वदनकी ॥ गावत मधुर ध्वनि मोहे सुरनर मुनि शंकरसे महायोगी तारी छूटी तिनकी ॥२॥Seeing His playful eyes and hearing His sweet flute, the beautiful face enchants all; its beauty surpasses millions of Kāmadevas. As the sweet sound is sung, even the gods, humans, sages, and great yogīs such as Shankara are enchanted, and their attachment to their own pursuits falls away. ॥२॥त्रिविध समीर जहां बंसीबट झूलें तहां मंदमंद गावें सखी राधाके रवनकी ॥ नंददासप्रभु जहां ललिता झुलावे तहां भई मग्न सिंधुशोभा देख श्यामघनकी ॥३॥Where the threefold breeze moves, there at Bansīvaṭ they swing, and there the sakhīs softly sing of Rādhā's voice. Where Lalitā swings Nanddās Prabhu, there, beholding the ocean-like beauty of Shyām, she becomes immersed. ॥३॥
