Mai Aj To Hindore

O Mother, today we swing upon the swing in the shade of the kadamba tree. All the sakhīs stand as though they were paintings in a palace. ॥ The yellow garment, pearl necklace, and tilak adorn His forehead; the crown and earrings shine, and the beauty of His locks surpasses all. His ears, cheeks, and eyes are exceedingly charming; His flute leaves millions of Kāmadevas exhausted when they behold the beauty of His face. ॥ Hearing the sound of the flute, all the gods and sages, even steadfast meditators such as Shiva, are enchanted, and their absorption is broken. Sūrdās sings of the Lord, becoming pleased again and again and attaining the truth; he becomes immersed upon seeing the līlā of Shyām, the rain-cloud-dark One. ॥३॥
